Profspect — Report Disclaimer & Takedown Policy
Effective date: June 8, 2026 Contact: iamjohncarter@icloud.com
This is the operational layer around the report itself. Part A is the disclaimer shown on every report. Part B is the correction/takedown process. Part C is the checkout acceptance text.
Part A — On-report disclaimer (shown on every delivered report)
This report is informational analysis synthesized from publicly available sources and organized relative to the goals you provided. It is not academic advising and not a verdict about any instructor. Every characterization is stated relative to your stated goals and linked to its public source; nothing here asserts that an instructor is good, bad, or otherwise. The underlying public data is third-party and may be incomplete or out of date. Teaching assignments, course offerings, and articulation change frequently — verify course requirements, articulation, and the actual instructor and section with your college and the official articulation system (for example, ASSIST.org) before registering. No outcome is guaranteed. To request a correction or removal, contact iamjohncarter@icloud.com.
Part B — Correction & takedown process
We respond promptly and in good faith to concerns about any report.
Who can contact us: a student, an instructor, an institution, or a source site.
How: email iamjohncarter@icloud.com identifying the specific report or content at issue with a short description of the concern (for example, a factual inaccuracy, an out-of-date detail, or an objection to inclusion).
What we do:
- We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
- We review the specific claim against its cited source.
- If a claim is inaccurate, unsupported by its source, or the subject reasonably objects, we correct or remove it promptly and, where applicable, notify the affected customer.
- We keep a brief internal log of requests and how we resolved them.
Sourcing discipline (how we keep risk low by design):
- We extract and re-express facts and aggregate sentiment from public pages; we do not reproduce source text verbatim.
- We link to sources rather than copying them.
- We retrieve at a human pace and do not log into accounts to collect data.
- If a source site asks us to stop, we stop or fall back to fully manual handling for that source.
Standing commitment: if any source or instructor objects, the worst outcome we design for is "stop," and we can. We would rather correct or remove than contest.
Part C — Checkout acceptance (clickwrap)
Use an affirmative checkbox at checkout (not just a footer link). Record the acceptance (timestamp plus the version/effective date of the Terms) with the order.
